Real Mac began in the latter half of February 1997, by a bunch of Mac advocates on an IRC Channel known as #mac, on AnotherNet Networks.  We are now located on #Macintosh on the IRC server: kechara.sorcery.net.  We need assistance in the reviews, news departments and editorial areas. If you would like more info, please send an e-mail message to cedwards@realmac.org.

If you are an individual responsible for sales of your company's products and they are compatible with a Performa 6400/180 (56MB RAM, 1.6GB HD, SyQuest EZ 135 drive, 8X CD-ROM, Supra Express 56K modem), we welcome any donations which you may have to send us.  Most reviews will be completed within 2 weeks of their arrival to the Assistant Editor-In-Chief, but we cannot guarantee that we'll be able to return your sample products (networking need not apply, due to our lack of another mac or a network to connect to).

This young macintosh user currently a freshman in High School, began the idea of starting an EZine called RealMac in February of 1997.  He's overcome some pretty bad odds, including finding an associate who could really fulfill the role as co-editor-in-cheif.  His idea came, when he was going to write content (which wasn't too good at the time) for MacNow (another Mac EZine).  He got angry with a MacNow writer and decided to take the creative route and be independent.  This student has the priviledge of using a Macintosh Performa 6400/180 with 56MB RAM, 512K L2 cache, 1MB VRAM, Mac OS 8.1, 8X CD-ROM Drive, and a Supra Express 56K modem (I'm waiting for Earthlink to fully support my modem with my local dial-up number!).

The Editor-In-Cheif lives in the state of Washington, enjoys  playing golf, tennis, watching sci-fi tv shows, and helping other Macintosh users and learning about how things work.  He lives in the state of Washington and is a senior in High School.  He has a Macintosh Quadra 630 running Mac OS 7.6.1, 24MB RAM and an external Iomega Jaz drive.

Stories.  He's been using Macintosh computers for the past 3 years, hates Bill Gates & Steve Jobs, and thinks that Woz (Steve Wozniak) should run Apple.  He uses a PowerBook Duo 250 and a Performa 6200.  He also works on the Shareware Corner section from time to time and has worked hard on our Web Site, which is located at <http://www.realmac.org>

This document was created using DOCMaker 4.8.2.  DOCMaker is a well-written application that allows you to create stand-alone documents on a 68000 CPU running System 7.0 to a PowerPC 750 Mac running Mac OS 8.1.  Green Mountain Software has been around since 1986 and makes quality Mac software that truly works.  We strongly urge you to register DOCMaker or any other software application they make, because if you don't, we won't be able to provide updated content in our DOCMaker file and some new features, due to some of the updates there may be to the application.
